Lead Perinatal Mental Health Care Across the North West!
Join the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service as a Clinical Nurse Consultant and lead the delivery of high‐quality perinatal mental health services. This permanent full‐time role coordinates the Together in Mind program and provides advanced clinical support to women, infants and families across North West Queensland.
About The Role
You will deliver advanced, evidence‐based mental health care for women who are pregnant or in the postpartum period, their infants and families. You will lead the coordination of the Together in Mind program, provide expert consultation‐liaison services, and strengthen partnerships across the mental health, primary health, maternity and community sectors. This role plays a vital part in improving early intervention, supporting recovery, and enhancing perinatal wellbeing across the region.
* Coordinate, implement and evaluate the Together in Mind (TiM) program, including referral management, assessment, care planning and program delivery.
* Provide specialist perinatal mental health assessments, brief interventions, and consultation‐liaison services in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and primary care providers.
* Build strong relationships with GPs, maternity services and community partners to improve pathways to care and enhance service delivery for women, infants, and families.
Working with us
* For 1 year will get you an isolation bonus of AUD$3,605. If you stay for 2 years you will get AUD$10,815... and for your 3rd year (and every year after that) you will get AUD$7,210 (pro rata for part time employees).
* Provides 2 return airfares p.a. (full time employees) (inc. spouse/dependents) or 1 return airfare p.a. (part time employees) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with your recreation leave.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
* Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available.
* Plus 2 weeks p.a., travel as required and enrolment and conference costs for approved courses and conferences.
* Staff accommodation (if eligible) or a private rental subsidy of AUD$82.50 per week for up to 17 months.

Requirements
* Mandatory: a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
* C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
* Pre‐employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
* A period of probation may apply.
