OverviewWiggington Cottage is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join their team.
This is a full time role.Hours: 36 hours per weekDay Shifts: 07:00 - 19:00 on a rotating shift pattern to include working every other weekend.
£12.60 per hourWiggington Cottage is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Wiggington, in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
Our specialist service provides residential support for eight people with a primary diagnosis of Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS).
Our home is on a quiet street, near the small village.
Our team are dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the people we support, helping them to achieve positive outcomes.

We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living.
As part of our team, you'll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal carePerforming light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothesAssisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individualsAssistance and support to attend medical appointmentsObserve, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staffSupporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teamsEncouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growthWhat you'll bring to the roleOur work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key.
