The Company has a diverse customer base in electronics, telecommunications, manufacturing, electrical, construction, medical, aerospace and a variety of other industries.
This role has ownership of product portfolio strategy and sales.
Be responsible for product-related initiatives (NPI, NPD, pricing strategy) and marketing activities for designated product portfolio across all brands in Australia.
**Responsibilities**:
- Define and execute product portfolio strategies and maintain the architecture of the category
- Responsible for compliance and authority on allocated categories and industries
- Responsible for management of product portfolios, with a focus on revenue growth, margin management, range offer alignment to brand/customer/market expectations and product lifecycle management
- Identify, develop, communicate and launch new products across all brands
- Effectively develop and activate a multi channel, multibrand, product focused promotional activity calendar based on industry/market/seasonal trends
- Partner with vendors to leverage their expertise for internal training or external communications
- Collaborate with R&D and global team overseas on product development as well as developing market strategies Responsible for development of training materials to drive product knowledge improvements through the business and distributors
- Understand the full spectrum of competitor offers
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Minimum of 3/4 years' experience in a marketing (product portfolio management) environment
- A high degree of commercial and strategic acumen.
- Excellent analytical reasoning skills.
- Sound influencing and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team, and also independently
- A positive outlook and flexible work attitude
- Extensive knowledge of marketing and sales functions
- Ability to drive cross functional teams to meet new product timelines
- A preferred relevant tertiary qualification
