The Opportunity
Lead and Own the Finance Function in a Values-Driven Business
We are seeking a capable and self-directed Management Accountant to join our team and take ownership of the financial operations of the business. In this standalone role, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and compliance, while providing commercial insights to support the Principal Partners in their strategic decision-making.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives on autonomy, is systems-savvy, and wants to contribute meaningfully to the growth and success of the business.
We offer flexible work arrangements / 4 days a week (22 to 30 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and deliver accurate and timely monthly management reports for the Principal Partners.
* Develop and manage the annual budget and ongoing financial forecasts.
* Provide financial insight to support business planning and strategic initiatives.
* Manage and maintain financial information systems, ensuring accurate and compliant data management.
* Oversee all day-to-day accounting processes including:
* Payroll, superannuation, PAYG and BAS compliance
* Billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
* Cash flow monitoring and cash management
* Fixed asset management
About You:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA/CA qualification preferred).
* Proven experience in a similar role with responsibility for end-to-end accounting functions.
* Strong understanding of compliance and reporting obligations.
* Proficiency in financial systems and an aptitude for process improvement.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* The ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage competing priorities.
* Familiarity with financial systems including Xero & WorkflowMax (preferred)
