Our Rockhampton-based client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys managing end-to-end payroll processes and is ready to hit the ground running. The role is based in Rockhampton and offers an immediate start.
Your new role
The successful candidate will have the following:
o Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll for 400+ employees
o Processing new starters and staff movements, including setting up new employee master files
o Calculating and processing termination payments
o Ensuring compliance with legislative obligations, including superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax lodgements, annual reconciliations, and workers' compensation declarations
o Responding to and resolving payroll-related queries in a timely and professional manner
o Maintaining novated lease deduction records
o Assisting with month-end payroll reporting
o Accurately calculating leave and termination entitlements
What you'll need to succeed
Key skills, knowledge, and experience:
o Minimum 2 years of payroll experience
o Experience with SAP and Kronos software (preferred)
o High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
o Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet dynamic deadlines
o Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
o Flexible and positive approach in a fast-paced business environment
o A strong customer-focused attitude with excellent communication skills
