The team
The Registry Connect program is focused on the stabilisation and targeted uplift of business registers including designing connections to the ABN and Director ID registers held by the ATO, and the more than 30 registers held by ASIC.
The role
As a Learning Instructional Designer, you will design and develop high-quality learning solutions that support capability uplift and change readiness across the RegistryConnect program, ensuring ASIC staff and external stakeholders can effectively transition to modernised registry services.
You Will Be Accountable For
Designing and developing engaging learning materials, including eLearning, guided training, instructor‑led content, simulations, walkthroughs and user guides
Conducting training needs analysis to identify gaps and translate findings into targeted learning solutions
Partnering with Project, Change and SME teams to gather content, validate accuracy and ensure materials reflect current processes and system functionality
Applying instructional design methodologies and adult‑learning principles to deliver effective, measurable learning outcomes
Developing learning plans and schedules across the program
Creating artefacts that simplify complex information into clear, accessible content for diverse learner groups
Ensuring all learning materials meet governance standards, consistency guidelines and ASIC's change framework
About You
You will have extensive experience translating complex technical or process information into clear, engaging learning. Experience in transformation or uplift programs, ideally in hybrid or agile environments is highly desirable. Other skills will include:
Tertiary qualifications in Learning Design, Education, Instructional Design, Organisational Development or related field (desirable)
Experience developing a wide range of learning materials (eLearning, guides, simulations, videos, etc.)
Strong planning and organisational skills, able to manage multiple products and deadlines
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, build strong relationships and influence effectively
Experience using digital learning tools (Articulate, Rise, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, WalkMe or similar)
Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
Experience producing learning content aligned with governance, quality and compliance frameworks
