Moose Toys is looking for an Illustrator within our Design team.
Our Illustrators are the people that take our crazy ideas and style them to life! They collaborate with our technical teams to ideate our next WOW hit, they have their finger on the pulse in terms of what looks great in everything from dolls to pets and delicious treats. They are the people responsible for coming up with and rolling out the look and style of some of our most successful brands! Do you love coming up the next new look? **Role Objective**
Our Illustrators develop and establish the styling and visualisation of our product. They can think and draw in 3D and are able to undertake the development of characters, objects, worlds and stories. They are capable of creating a wide range of illustrative styles and with time, will understand and be able to support in the technical elements of the role in designing for manufacture.
Additionally they work collaboratively within the greater cross functional teams including Technical Design, Branding and Packaging, Quality, Engineering and Marketing to champion their brands and product throughout the development lifecycle, and they do this on cost and on time.
**Reporting and Responsibilities**
Reporting to the Design Manager or Senior Illustrator, this role is responsible for developing and establishing the styling and visualisation of product under the guidance of senior design staff.
- Create concept illustrations and colour direction for product.
- Create 2D Styling turnarounds and color specs to determine product feasibility.
- Provide comments and drawovers on 3D product designs throughout the development lifecycle.
- Able to successfully work within a team environment, taking on board feedback and adapting to requested changes in direction when necessary.
- Partner cohesively with Technical Design counterparts to deliver on market leading product that is on cost and suitable for production.
- Will flourish in a fast-paced environment, meeting agreed deadlines and achieving personal and company goals.
- Prepare required material for presentation and review with Design Leadership Team.

**Key Capabilities**
Has strong sketching skills and ability to think and work in 3D. Applies this expertise accordingly and shares with others. In addition, has understanding of:

- the visual development of Characters, Objects, Worlds and Story.
- Setting style for a specific brand by sourcing and creating diverse illustration styles.
- Executing a style set by other illustrators.
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop being a must. Knowledge of digital sculpting and animation platforms helpful but not necessary.
