Hudson have partnered with a financial services institution who are seeking an Instructional Designer to join the team.
This Instructional Designer role will work on a Collections transformation spanning several years. The first step of this program is to replace a legacy system. There will be process change, system change and lots of BAU integration and readiness.
Primarily based in Bedford Park in Eastern Adelaide
- about 20 mins from the City Centre by car. The role can work flexibly and will report into the Training Lead.
12 month contract role with the view to extend.
The purpose of this role is to support the change program (and associated change deliverables) meet objectives and deliver business benefits.
**Responsibilities**:
- Produce designs for learning and development materials (i.e system simulations, technical training content, facilitator guides, FAQs, job aids, participant materials) that are engaging and effective.
- Translate 'to be' processes and procedures into functional materials.
- Write training materials that are intuitive, informative and consistent with sound design principles.
- Assist with the delivery of the training across stakeholder groups.
- Design course-specific instructional effectiveness evaluation tools.
- Prepare business teams to go live through the delivery of tailored training interventions.
- Work closely with the Training Lead, and broader change team, to help them execute change management and learning strategies and plans that maximise employee adoption and usage and minimise resistance.
- Ensure all appropriate training documents are reviewed and signed off by appropriate leaders.
Who you are:
- Adult learning or similar tertiary qualifications.
- Extensive experience in developing technical and/or compliance training materials.
- Experience in the financial services sector, preferably in an IT project environment.
- Experience in delivering training programs in an operations training environment.
- Ability to translate learning outcomes into training content.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into plain English and meaningful visuals.
- Able to work to a style guide and ensure consistency in content and presentation across multiple training deliverables.
- High Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Camtasia.
- Proven ability to work independently and deliver against tight timeframes
- Capacity to respond quickly to changing requirements and circumstances in an Agile environment.
- Ability to travel if required.
- 4+ years relevant experience in a similar level.
