Join YNLHN as a Diversional Therapist at Wakefield Aged Care Service and Riverton District Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, and play a key role in planning, delivering, and evaluating activities that enhance the wellbeing, independence, and quality of life of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate individual and group activities for residents.
- Assess residents’ needs, abilities, and participation in activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of activities, outcomes, and resident responses.
- Support volunteers and multidisciplinary team members in activity delivery.
- Assist with direct resident care and uphold high standards of aged care.
- Promote a safe, healthy, and culturally sensitive environment.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a compassionate, creative professional with experience delivering leisure and lifestyle programs in aged care. You’ll be confident planning and facilitating activities for residents with a range of cognitive and physical abilities, and able to support volunteers and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. This is a part time vacancy, working 42 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
