About the Role
Due to continued growth and a strong forward project pipeline, SEM Group is seeking an experienced Civil Site Supervisors and Team Leaders to join our Adelaide-based team.
This is a site-based leadership role, responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of works on active Tier 1 sites. You will be hands-on, leading crews and subcontractors, managing plant and labour, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with program, budget, HSEQ, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and supervise internal crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project requirements
* Read, interpret, and effectively communicate construction drawings and documentation
* Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company procedures, and site-specific safety requirements in collaboration with the HSEQ team
* Manage plant, labour, and materials to achieve cost-effective and safe project delivery
* Provide strong leadership to site teams, promoting SEM Group values and positive site culture
* Accurately record and manage contract works, variations, and day-works
* Deliver projects to the satisfaction of senior management and clients
About You
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will demonstrate a proven ability to supervise and deliver civil construction works across the Adelaide market, with the following attributes:
* Strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
* Proven experience as a Site Supervisor delivering civil engineering projects
* Demonstrated ability to meet time, budget, and quality requirements
* Extensive experience across civil construction disciplines including water and wastewater infrastructure, subdivisions, bulk earthworks, and road construction
* Strong people leadership and subcontractor management skills
* High-level written and verbal communication skills
* Solid understanding of construction costs and commercial project delivery
