Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Marine Surveyor to join our team in Sydney on a part-time permanent basis with a minimum of 24 hours per week.
You will be responsible for conducting surveys and inspections related to cargo marine petroleum chemical grain on sea-going and bulk cargo vessels.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Cargo Marine Petroleum Chemical Road tanker inspections and Grain surveys and inspections
* Sampling and gauging shore tanks at various Terminals
* Preparing detailed reports and invoices
* Liaising with clients shipping agents and vessel staff to ensure smooth operations
* Contributing to general office functions ensuring accurate reporting and timely analysis of results
* Providing support for terminal and wharf duties as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* A Maritime Security Identification Card
* Experience with oil fuel and LPG tankers dry cargo and marine inspections
* Strong proficiency in MS Office suite as well as internet and email usage
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to work effectively within a team environment
* The ability to manage your time and tasks effectively with a high level of organization and self-motivation
