We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our council.
In this key role, you will manage end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring value for money and compliance while supporting the delivery of essential services to our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing procurement processes, tendering, and contract administration in line with NSW Government regulations.
Working closely with suppliers and contractors to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services.
Analysing data and reports to provide sound recommendations and solve complex problems.
Identifying and mitigating risks with practical, effective solutions.
Collaborating across teams to improve processes and overcome barriers.
About You:
To succeed, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive job-related experience in procurement.
You are a logical thinker and a problem-solver who thrives on detail and getting results.
We are looking for someone with:
Proven experience in procurement management functions and government tendering.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions based on complex information.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
The capability to build effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
A strong understanding of compliance, delegations, and good governance.
Highly desirable:
Experience with SAP (contract management module) and the NSW buy.nsw procurement system.
Knowledge of NSW Local and State Government contracts and policies.
Experience in contractor performance management.
