Permanent full-time Senior Pharmacist (Dispensary) opportunity based in the Logan–Beaudesert region (Metro South Health, Brisbane South), delivering advanced clinical pharmacy services, with future temporary and part-time opportunities possible.
About This Role Your new role Role
In this senior clinical and leadership role, you will deliver high‐level pharmacy services within the dispensary while supporting safe, effective patient care across a complex healthcare environment by:
* Providing advanced clinical pharmacy services, including medication reviews, reconciliation and care planning
* Leading and supervising pharmacists, interns, students and pharmacy assistants within the dispensary team
* Delivering expert medication advice to multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community settings
* Supporting medication safety initiatives and quality improvement activities
* Contributing to education, training and mentorship of pharmacy and clinical staff
* Participating in research and service development to enhance patient outcomes
* Collaborating across Metro South Health facilities as part of a rotational service model
About You
You are a confident and capable clinical pharmacist with strong leadership skills and a passion for improving patient outcomes by:
* Demonstrating high‐level clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience in complex care settings
* Applying sound professional judgement to diverse and evolving clinical scenarios
* Communicating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and key healthcare stakeholders
* Supervising, mentoring and developing pharmacy staff and students
* Contributing to service improvement, education and research initiatives

About Us Pharmacy Department
The Logan Beaudesert Health Service Pharmacy Department consists of approximately 100 staff inclusive of pharmacists, clinical assistants and support staff. The Department services the Logan Hospital, Beaudesert Hospital, community Mental Health services, Palen Creek Correctional Facility, Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital and the Logan Urgent and Specialist Care Centre (LUSCC).
These facilities include specialties such as, Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Maternity, Mental health, Emergency, Intensive care and Cardiac as well as many Specialist Outpatient Clinics.
All areas of Logan & Beaudesert Health Service Pharmacy are serviced by the pharmacy staff on a rotational roster system. All staff may be expected to work at any of the sites managed by the Pharmacy service. The pharmacy service operates on a 7 day a week, extended hours roster with a 24‐hour emergency clinical on‐call system.
