Housekeeping supervisor

We are looking for a motivated individual to support our Executive Housekeeper in overseeing daily operations.
This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and a passion for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that Saffire is known for.
With your prior experience, you will drive positive team morale and ensure effectiveness and attention to detail within the team.
Salary between $70,000 – $80,000 per annum.
To be considered for this unique opportunity, we're looking for somebody who:
Thrives in a fast paced environment and can manage multiple priorities effectively
Can support and improve business processes, policies and systems relevant to the smooth operation of the department.
Has a desire and ability to learn, develop and continuously improve
Will assist in maintaining a safe workplace and environment.
Has at least 2 year working in a similar role and living in a remote environment.
Full drivers licence essential
High level interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience working and living in a remote Luxury Lodge is preferred
Tasks and Responsibilities;
As an Assistant Housekeeping Manager you will:
Lead the housekeeping team with integrity, care, and a values-driven approach.
Determine work requirements and allocate duties to team members, including room attendants and public area cleaners.
Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure all rooms and hotel areas meet luxury standards and exceed guest expectations.
Monitor compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, enforcing standards across all housekeeping areas.
Train, coach, and support team members in service standards, safety procedures, and operational excellence.
Maintain accurate staff rosters and attendance records to ensure efficient scheduling and coverage.
Liaise with maintenance, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee inventory control for linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies, ensuring cost-effective management.
Track costs, including expenses and staffing, to support business needs and budget requirements.
Evaluate housekeeping processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Monitor and improve policies, procedures, and safety practices.
Address and resolve staff concerns and grievances professionally, fostering a positive team culture.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and encourage a collaborative, caring work environment.
Work closely with the Executive Team to achieve operational goals and meet project deadlines.
Uphold and communicate safety and service standards across all guest-facing areas.
These lists are not exhaustive; you may be required to perform other reasonable duties as assigned by your Manager.
This role is in a beautiful remote, Tasmanian location, but still only be a two-hour drive away from Hobart and Launceston.
A vehicle and drivers licence (preferred), or other modes of accessibility to the property.
