The Role
We're looking for a Safety Lead who wants to make a real difference. This role is about helping people work safely every day and supporting a culture where safety and wellbeing are second nature.
You'll be the person that managers and staff turn to for guidance, support, and practical solutions. From inductions and training to incident reporting and risk management, you'll play an important role in helping our people feel confident, supported, and safe at work.
While the role is based in Nuriootpa, occasional travel to regional sites may be required.
In this role, you will:
* Support the rollout of safety and wellbeing initiatives
* Help managers and teams identify hazards and reduce risks
* Coordinate inductions, training, and emergency preparedness activities
* Assist with investigations and corrective actions
* Build positive relationships across the business to encourage safe behaviours
* Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits
About You
You're someone who brings both technical know-how and a genuine interest in people. You enjoy working with others, building trust, and finding practical ways to make safety part of everyday work.
Depending on the candidate, we are open to considering someone earlier in their career who is capable, willing, and has excellent interpersonal skills. Alternatively, we will consider an experienced candidate who is open-minded and willing to grow with the role. In all cases, candidates must be able to lead our people on a successful health, safety, and wellbeing journey for the business.
You'll also bring:
* A Certificate IV in WHS (minimum) – Diploma or tertiary qualifications highly regarded
* Practical WHS experience
* Good knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management practices
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
* Experience with safety systems such as Skytrust (desirable)
* AIHS certification and/or HSR/managerial training (desirable)
* Auditing experience
