About the role We are currently seeking applications for a Process Engineer to join the team at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture. Our Coppabella Moorvale joint venture complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverised coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.
Reporting to the CHPP Manager, the purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient operation of all plant and optimum product recovery to meet targets.
Duties will include: Deliver technical support and advice to stakeholders to ensure successful ramp-up and ongoing operations of the processing plants. Assist in developing training packages, priority operating systems, and procedures. Assist plant operator crews and technical teams, e.g., Lab services. Ensure lab technicians and personnel support ramp-up activities and maintain safe practices in operation. Assist in contract supervision. Cultivate and promote a culture of values within your team to embed an inclusive and high-performing team. Monitor and report on the process plant's performance. Take corrective actions as required to meet or exceed safety and production targets. Provide support for accurate budgeting. Evaluate operational risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies. Develop and implement Continuous Improvement Initiatives. The lifestyle: This position is offered on a 9-day fortnight (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday) roster and can be residential (Moranbah), DIDO, or FIFO.

About You: To succeed in this role, you should have extensive operational experience, be technically minded, and passionate about emerging technologies. Ideally, you will possess:
An engineering degree in Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical, or related disciplines. At least 2 years of experience in mineral comminution, beneficiation, and solid/liquid separation technologies. Operational and technical experience in CHPP. Competence in production and maintenance management, control systems engineering. An unwavering commitment to safety and a sound understanding of risk and hazard identification. You should be an exceptional team player with a flexible attitude and strong work ethic.
