The island is one of the closest Whitsunday islands to the mainland (Airlie Beach) with spectacular 30-minute ferry ride to work each day.
Job Description
* Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and related areas
* Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans by hand and using dishwashing equipment
* Ensure all kitchen equipment and applicances are properly cleaned and sanitized
* Empty trash and recycling bins regularly to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
* Store cleaned equipment and utensils in designated storage areas
* Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures at all time
* Colloaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and a positive work environment
* Report any maintenance or repair needs to the kitchen manager or supervisor
This role is a live on island position.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Previous expereince in a similar role preferred
* Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and utensils
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
* Physcial stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
* Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
