About the Role:
The Social Worker - Social Work Incident Support Service (SWISS) is part of a team providing a timely and coordinated response to critical incidents and crisis events impacting education sites across the state. The role involves working with preschools, schools, and communities to identify student needs, plan, and deliver immediate, early, and proactive interventions to entire sites. The Social Worker aims to mitigate the effects of incidents and support the site to return to normal, addressing social, emotional, mental health, and wellbeing issues for students.
Student Support Services are on a cultural response journey, valuing and prioritizing Aboriginal ways of knowing, doing, and being.
Qualifications:
Essential: An appropriate degree or equivalent that qualifies for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Desirable: None
Special Conditions:
The successful applicant must obtain a Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment, which must be renewed every five years. The incumbent will also need to undertake the RRHAN-EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online Fundamentals course, which must be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
AHP2 $88,255 - $102,240 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%)
