Senior Process Technician Job Overview
This position is responsible for overseeing and optimizing plant processes to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable production.
* Operate equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety protocols
* Monitor process variables and make adjustments to maintain optimal performance
* Conduct routine inspections, data logging, and control system surveillance
* Identify and troubleshoot process deviations or equipment faults
* Assist in shutdown, startup, and emergency response procedures
* Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support reliability and continuous improvement
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
* Maintain accurate shift reports and handovers
* Certificate III in Process Plant Operations (preferred)
* Experience working in a heavy chemical, petrochemical, or manufacturing plant (preferred)
* Familiarity with control systems and process instrumentation
* Strong awareness of process safety and risk management
* Mechanical aptitude and sound troubleshooting skills
* Ability to work in a shift-based roster
