iPlace Recruitment are proud to partner with Siniat by Etex in the appointment of a BDM for their Commercial Accounts team.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager your key accountabilities will be:
Identify, develop and nurture strategic sales opportunities with major architects & specifiers, engineers, commercial developers & builders to ensure your product is the preferred choice from design to delivery.
Work within the distribution network to manager tenders and service delivery on major commercial projects throughout Southeast Qld.
Complete the value proposition to all existing commercial contractors by upselling technical solutions.
Prepare & deliver sales presentations to various bodies & architectural firms in order to drive specification and product & systems innovation.
Weekly reporting with monthly contribution to state reports.
Attend necessary industry events to ensure your product has maximum visibility to key decision makers and specifiers.
THE CANDIDATE:
To secure this role the ideal candidate will have:
Relevant experience within the design, building & construction industry, ideally with strong contacts among architects, specifiers and engineers – you love working with people like this and may have come from a design or similar background where you have a solid network to introduce the product to.
Exceptional sales and communication skills – you love sales and have the enviable mix of sales & likeability which allows you to deal with all kinds of personalities as you encounter them.
A strong understanding of the building process from concept, design through to completion – you know how important it is to be front of mind in those early stages of concept and design and you're not just about selling a product. You are concept & solutions focused.
The ability to read & interpret construction drawings.
A thorough understanding of Australian building codes & standards.
Knowledge of commercial building products eg: plasterboard, metal framing or cladding.
The kind of personality that genuinely loves sales, loves working with people and can collaborating with internal stakeholders to offer a solutions based proposition to the client.
