Costco Ipswich Bakery Assistant - Part Time
Join our team with a rotating roster that includes early mornings, nights, and weekends. Job Duties/Essential Functions
1. Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize the bakery area, including coolers and freezers. Sweep, mop, spray, wash, apply cleaning agents, wipe surfaces, and operate pressure washers. Maintain cleanliness of mop buckets and heads.
2. Equipment Maintenance: Dismantle bakery equipment such as power mixers and muffin depositors. Wash, rinse, and sanitize removable parts using commercial dishwashers or by hand. Wipe down stationary parts with appropriate cleaning agents.
3. Kitchen Supplies: Wash bakery containers and utensils using commercial dishwashers. Restock baking supplies and large containers of ingredients.
4. Waste Management: Collect cardboard and trash, operate trash compactors and balers. Take laundry to the laundry service area.
5. Health and Safety: Log sanitation procedures daily, comply with health codes, and follow safety protocols. Read labels for proper use of cleaning products.
6. Production Support: Assist bakers, adhere to production procedures, and ensure quality and consistency of baked goods.
7. Customer Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to members.
Additional Responsibilities
Operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery such as muffin depositors, dough presses, and ovens. Use computers, printers, copiers, phones, calculators, cash registers, and scanners.
Non-Essential Functions and Tasks
Assist with front-end duties and support other departments as needed.
