**The Role**
The Youth and Family Support Worker works with young people aged 12-25 years old with mental health concerns and their family and friends, to meet their health, wellbeing, social, developmental, and protection needs. This involves assessing client needs; facilitating case management; and supporting self-management.
The Youth and Family Support Worker provides basic counselling, referral, advocacy and education/health promotion services to young people and their families and friends, in individual and group settings.
**What you need to bring**
**Essential**
- Diploma-level qualification in a relevant field, such as Youth Work, Mental Health,
Community Services, or Counselling; OR
- Lesser formal qualifications with substantial years of relevant experience
- Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (previously known as 'Child-Related Employment Screening Clearance')
- Valid NDIS worker screening check.
- Out-of-hours work may be required
**Desirable**
- Experience using Mastercare Client Record Management System
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing
