About the Role
This position involves overseeing scrap metal procurement, both ferrous and non-ferrous, as well as coordinating delivery to nominated facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of existing accounts and develop new business opportunities.
* Develop strong relationships with customers, tailoring products and services to their specific needs.
* Prioritize tasks to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
* Negotiate quotes based on bespoke customer requirements.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations in all customer and contractor interactions.
* Support the company's safety strategy by operating in a manner that minimizes risk to employees and others.
Foundations for Success
* A strong background in sales or account management is highly desirable.
* Experience in the scrap metal recycling industry or other waste and recycling sectors is also advantageous.
* The ability to influence outcomes with various stakeholder groups is essential for achieving strategic objectives.
