Position Overview

Environmental Project Director – Contamination Assessment and Remediation.

Location: Vancouver, BC.

Employment: Permanent, Full‐Time.

This role leads multidisciplinary environmental projects, ensuring compliance with provincial and federal regulations, advising on remediation strategies, and building robust client relationships in the region.

Responsibilities

* Environmental Site Investigation and Remediation Design: Design or enable engineering and scientific solutions to remediate contaminated sites through to closure.
* Professional Supervision: Provide effective supervision of practitioners and manage resourcing, systems, and processes to deliver services on time and within budget.
* Project Leadership: Oversee and mentor projects from proposal to execution, report to the Business Group Leader, and manage federally and provincially regulated projects.
* Technical Development Recommendation: Complete and contribute to Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, develop remediation techniques, and recommend innovative technical solutions.
* Client & Customer Management: Manage key client relationships, including federal clients, and foster industry network partnerships.
* Health, Safety, Quality and Environment: Monitor performance against KPI indicators, take corrective action, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
* Culture of Innovation: Drive a culture of innovation by creating multistakeholder solutions that promote creativity and collaboration.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering or a related discipline.
* Registered with a professional designation in BC (e.g., P.Eng, P.Geo, P.Ag).
* 10+ years of experience with contaminated site assessments and remediation.
* Expertise in managing field assessments and technical reporting.
* Knowledge of provincial and federal legislation and regulatory requirements surrounding contaminated sites.
* Robust mentoring skills and a desire to support team members' career development.
* Self‐motivated with solid leadership, time‐management and organizational ability.
* Excellent communication and writing skills with a collaborative mindset.
* Valid driver's license.

Salary Range

USD $110,220 – $183,700 based on experience.
