Job Title: Maintenance and Construction Specialist
About this Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance and Construction Specialist to join our team. The primary purpose of this role is to provide a high level of service in the maintenance, construction and repair of water, sewer and drainage infrastructure.
* The successful candidate will undertake general and trades-related labouring duties in the maintenance, construction and repair of water, sewer and drainage infrastructure.
* They will assist with CCTV inspections and associated cleaning of infrastructure.
* The specialist will use and maintain small plant and hand tools in a safe and effective manner.
* They will set out works and establish line and level for construction purposes.
* Additionally, they will assist in preparing Works-As-Executed drawings showing locations of mains, structures, fittings etc.
* They will also assist with the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment systems.
About You:
We are looking for a motivated individual with a positive attitude and a safety-first focus. The ideal candidate will have:
* Construction or trade labouring experience.
* A good understanding of Council's Water and Sewer Infrastructure.
* Strong communication skills.
* The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
