The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Underground Mine Geologist to join the team at our Duketon operation.
Working closely with the Geology superintendent, you will be responsible for technical advice, planning and methodology in the mine, along with the supervision of geologists and sampling crews in data collection, collation, analysis and interpretation.
This is a FIFO role (8:6 roster) from Perth.
The Main Responsibilities Of This Role Include
* Developing grade control procedures
* Develop and maintain grade control databases and block models
* Supervision and mentoring of professional geologists and sampling crews in data collection, collation, analysis and interpretation
* Report on geological activities to the Geology Superintendent
* Compile end of month reports, key statistics and reconciliation data
* Manage geological related projects
* Assist in development of budgets and forecasts relating to geological requirements
* Assist in the mine forecasting and scheduling process
* Fulfil Geology Superintendent's duties in their absence
About You
Desired Skills and Experience
To Be Successful For This Role, You Will Have
* Formal tertiary qualification in Geology
* Demonstrated experience working in a similar role within a hard rock underground environment
* Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
* Work both autonomously and within a team environment
* Current WA class C manual drivers licence
