We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as Consultant in Microbiology.
* This is a whole-time post consisting of 11.5 Programmed Activities (or equivalent for Consultant Clinical Scientist) which can include on-call commitments.

Responsibilities and Duties:
1. To provide leadership in the management, provision and development of Microbiology and Infection Control Services for the department.

The role will involve working with colleagues to set and deliver clinical governance agenda including accreditation through UKAS.
The ideal candidate will have experience in developing effective collaborative working relationships.
The successful candidate will be able to participate fully in general microbiology on call cover rota experience required. They should also have thorough understanding of principles of clinical audit & broad experience clinical laboratory aspects micro biology / or virology;
