An exciting opportunity awaits an intermediate/senior accountant with 2+ years of experience.
On offer is an on-site or 100% WFH role for a mature qualified with Public Practice experience to work for a leading regional firm, servicing a diverse range of SME clients from across Australia.
You'll work with multiple partners in a pooled structure, to help manage a mid-seven figure feebase, and will be rewarded with a competitive salary, & the chance to develop professionally.
Our ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of financial statements, taxation returns, BAS/IAS, and provide complex tax advice to clients; salary commensurate with experience.
This role can be 100% WFH, & will require an in-person interview and to attend the office 4 times per calendar year. It may suit accountants living in Melbourne, Canberra & all locations inbetween.
DUTIES:
• Prepare financial s/ments & ITRs for individuals, p/ships, companies, trusts
• Prepare and review complex tax returns for mainly SMEs and/or HNWIs
• Prepare BAS, and IAS for clients
• Provide complex tax advice to clients
• Dealing with CGT, Div7a, UPE, GST, SBTC, FTE/IEE, and FBT
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as required and audit assistance to clients
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients
• Comply with professional standards and relevant legislation
• Provide technical advice to clients, whilst managing a portfolio of clients
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data, with all deadlines met
• Support junior staff members with their work papers and mentorship
• Keep up to date with taxation laws and changes, and partake in training
• Implement sound administrative and organisational processes
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
