**About the role**
The Regulatory Operations Officer position is part of the Business Engagement Team—a dynamic group that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality customer service and making complex decisions in a high-volume licensing environment.
This role involves reviewing decisions and providing technical guidance on complex and sensitive matters to both internal and external stakeholders. Clear and accurate advice is essential in ensuring consistency with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Building and maintaining strong stakeholder networks is a key focus, enabling effective information flow and timely responses in line with regulatory policies and procedures. The position also supports the identification, review, and implementation of initiatives aimed at improving service delivery and operational efficiency.
**To be successful in this role, you will**:
- Have strong organisational and time management skills and the ability manage competing priorities and work within strict statutory timeframes, including the ability to respond to a broad range of complex and escalated matters.
- Strong verbal and written skills with strong attention to detail including the ability to present information accurately, succinctly and using appropriate structure when engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Thrive in a busy work environment while completing allocated work and supporting colleagues to achieve their outputs and to deliver business outcomes within a diverse team.
- Represent the organisation in an honest, ethical and professional way and help others understand their obligations to comply with legislation, policies, guidelines and codes of conduct.
- Support the implementation of systems improvement initiatives, and the introduction and roll-out of new technologies. Make effective use of records, information and knowledge management functions and systems.
- Be proactive in taking responsibility and being accountable for own actions. Be aware of risks and act on or escalate risks, as appropriate.
