Digital Strategist (Mid Level, but also open to very switched-on and experienced juniors)

Our team operates at the intersection of UX, development, performance marketing, and strategy — and we’re looking for a Junior Digital Strategist to help keep that engine running.
What you’ll be doing
As a Junior Digital Strategist, you’ll support both our strategy and delivery teams across a portfolio of up to 10 client accounts — spanning digital product strategy and performance-led marketing. You’ll work closely with senior strategists, project managers, designers, developers and digital marketers to shape roadmaps, identify opportunities and drive meaningful outcomes.
In this collaborative, hands-on role, you’ll help coordinate internal workflows, manage product and marketing backlogs to ensure work stays aligned to client goals. You’ll also act as the link between internal teams and external vendors — keeping priorities clear, progress on track and communication flowing.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the development and execution of digital strategies across websites, platforms and campaigns
* Help manage and maintain product roadmaps, monthly budgets and marketing calendars
* Analyse website and ad performance data to uncover insights and identify optimisation opportunities
* Contribute to research, competitor analysis and strategy recommendations
* Prepare monthly reports that track performance and inform future decisions
* Support client workflows, including meeting prep, documentation and follow-ups
* Coordinate tasks between internal teams and external vendors (e.g. SEO, media, tech)
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of high-impact work
* Contribute to internal workshops, audits and presentations
You’ll thrive in this role if you have
* 2–3+ years’ experience in a client-facing, digital marketing or marketing role
* Past experience with social media content creation and advertising
* A working knowledge of digital products, marketing tools and platforms such as Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube, Canva and TikTok
* Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related field
* Strong organisational skills — you can manage multiple tasks, deadlines and stakeholders
* Clear, thoughtful communication skills — written, verbal and client-facing
* A proactive, curious mindset — you ask great questions, spot opportunities, and seek clarity
* Analytical thinking — you’re comfortable working with data and using it to inform decisions
* A collaborative approach — you’re independent when needed, but work well with a team
Nice to Have
* Experience using analytics platforms like Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio or Hotjar
* Familiarity with Agile workflows or backlog management tools (e.g. ClickUp, Jira, Trello)
* Exposure to conversion rate optimisation (CRO) or A/B testing frameworks
* Basic knowledge of SEO principles and tools (e.g. SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog)
* Experience contributing to or creating client presentations and strategy decks
* Understanding of content marketing, influencer strategy or paid media reporting
* Interest in UX, digital design, or customer journey mapping
* Stays across emerging trends — especially on TikTok, Meta, AI and digital platforms — and brings fresh ideas into the fold
