Accreditation & Assessment Officer Are you looking for a role where your skills can make a real impact? The Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) is seeking an Accreditation Officer – Overseas Qualifications to support the assessment of internationally qualified teachers applying for registration in Victoria. We are looking for capable, motivated people with transferable skills who enjoy problem-solving, working with detail and delivering quality outcomes. About the role In this role, you will assess applications and supporting documentation, review qualifications and employment evidence, undertake research, and provide clear recommendations aligned to policy and regulatory frameworks. This is a 2 year fixed term role offering an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to build specialist expertise in a meaningful and purpose-driven organisation. This role will require you to: Assess overseas qualifications and registration applications in line with policy, legislation and established frameworks. Analyse academic transcripts, employment evidence and supporting documentation. Conduct research into international education systems and qualification equivalency. Prepare recommendations, correspondence and case notes with accuracy and professionalism. Respond to applicant enquiries and provide high-quality customer service. Work collaboratively with internal teams to improve processes and service delivery. Maintain accurate records and data integrity across systems. About you With a positive customer focused approach, you take pride in delivering accurate work and are keen to build your expertise in a purpose driven environment. Experience in assessment, compliance, regulation, admissions, credential evaluation or similar environments. Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex information. Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Applies sound judgement, including the ability to interpret and respond effectively to a range of briefs while ensuring consistent and fair application of policies.
