To find out more visit our website at **.****About the role**MSS Security is seeking a **Casual** Aviation Protection Officer to join our team at **Ballina Airport**. As an Aviation Protection Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff and airport operations.**Duties include but are not limited to:*** Conduct security screening for passengers, staff and visitors.* Operate security technology and systems, including metal detectors, to identify potential risks or prohibited items.* Perform scans when required for passengers, staff and visitors to ensure no prohibited items are being carried.* Conduct Explosive Trace Detection tests.* Operate X-ray machines to screen luggage for dangerous goods, prohibited items, or weapons.* Perform thorough bag searches when necessary to ensure compliance with aviation security regulations.* Monitor and patrol airport premises to identify and report any security threats or breaches.**Requirements:*** Full Australian working rights.* Ability to undergo and pass a national security police check.* Ability to undergo and pass a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing).* Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication.* Proficient in basic computer skills.* Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours.* 24/7 availability required.**Master licence –** 408742075## **How to apply**MSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and contributions of each person We encourage and celebrate diversity.We are proud to:* be certified by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency,* be a partner and supporter of Veterans employment and honoured to have an endorsed INNOVATE Reconciliation Action Plan.
