Senior Parliamentary Security Officer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced security professional to join our team as a Senior Parliamentary Security Officer. As a key member of our security operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of Queensland Parliament.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Security Operations: Perform and supervise security duties within all areas of the Parliamentary Precinct, including regular patrols.
* Surveillance and Monitoring: Operate surveillance and monitoring systems, ensuring procedures are followed and incidents documented.
* Emergency Response: Act as a First Responder during major security incidents when the Parliamentary Security Supervisor is absent.
* Access Control: Assist parliamentary staff, visitors, and dignitaries while maintaining secure access points.
* Cordination: Coordinate car park allocations and issue security access cards, maintaining relevant databases.
* Leadership: Provide on-the-job training to security personnel and assist in shift coordination, including rostering and leave planning.

* Team Leadership: Ability to manage a small team during shifts and mentor junior security officers.

* Technical Skills: Competence in the Microsoft Office suite and rapid adaptability to new security technologies.
* Operational Knowledge: Ability to understand the operational environment of the Queensland Parliament and relevant laws and workplace policies.
