About the Role As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business acquisition across the SME market, selling market-leading Fleet GPS and telematics solutions directly to customers. This role is heavily focused on prospecting, pipeline creation, and closing new opportunities, and is not an Account Management role. You will be responsible for building new business either within the B2B space, or within the Channel/Reseller space.
You will have ownership of your territory, the freedom to develop your own sales strategy, and the backing of an experienced national team. Success in this role comes from resilience, strong consultative selling skills, and the ability to clearly articulate value to business owners and decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, prospect and secure new SME B2B or Channel/Reseller customers
Build and execute a territory and pipeline development strategy
Conduct product demonstrations and present tailored solutions
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to close
Negotiate contracts and close new business opportunities
Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline and forecasting via CRM
Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity
Represent the business professionally within the SME market
Desired Background
2–4 years’ experience in SaaS sales or a closely related B2B technology environment
Proven success in new business development within an SME market
Strong hunter mentality with the ability to generate and close your own leads
Experience selling technology, telematics, fleet, logistics or similar solutions (highly regarded)
Confident communicator with strong commercial and negotiation skills
Comfortable working autonomously and managing a defined territory
CRM experience and disciplined sales approach
Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required
