About the Role:
The Alternate Underground Gold Mine Manager will oversee day-to-day underground activities, ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and production targets are achieved.
The focus will be on strategic planning, contractor management, and technical oversight to align operations with short and long-term mine plans.
Mentoring and developing a skilled technical team is also an essential aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Statutory appointment under WA Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
* Oversee daily underground mining operations, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.
* Lead coordination of production and development activities in line with mine plans.
* Manage contractor performance to meet operational and contractual targets.
* Provide leadership and mentoring to technical and operational staff.
* Develop and implement systems, processes, and operational reports.
* Contribute to business development and ensure alignment with Life of Mine (LOM) design.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across site operations.
