**About the role**
The Test Analyst plans, designs, and executes test plans for data products under development to safeguard the quality, reliability and completeness of products and services offered by the business unit.
This role primarily works across the Microsoft suite of data and analytics tools including Azure, Fabric, PowerBI, Purview as well as Profisee MDM.
Experience in designing and executing test strategies, plans and test cases across large scale complex datalake / data warehousing and the associated reporting environments are critical for this role.

**About you**
- Experienced with undertaking test cases, documenting results, communicating defects with developers, and re-testing defect fixes to meet process and procedural requirements
- Experienced in conducting root cause analysis to assist the development team in the identification and understanding of issues emerging during the testing process
- Experienced in reviewing and assessing test strategies and approaches to identify opportunities to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of testing in line with the Department's commitment to continuous improvement
- Sound understanding of and experience with working on projects with complex data and requiring analytics solutions
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
**Essential requirements of the role**
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or equivalent experience in government or commerce.
- Valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check)
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
