The role of a Casual Maintenance Electrician is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the efficient operation of our frozen potato product manufacturing facility.
As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing planned, scheduled, and breakdown electrical activities on a wide range of fixed plant and equipment. This includes identifying faults and performing repairs to minimize downtime and micro-stops, inspecting and testing machinery and equipment in production areas and plant buildings, and working with PLC SCADA CITECT for diagnostics, fault finding, programming, and connections.
This hands-on role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the wider maintenance and production teams. You will be committed to ensuring the highest levels of safety, health, and wellbeing in the workplace, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
About You
* We are looking for someone with a commitment to safety, health, and wellbeing.
* Cert III Electrotechnology + Tasmanian Electrical Licence are mandatory.
* Instrumentation & Controls qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
You will have experience with fixed plant electrical works, diagnostic fault finding, and troubleshooting skills. You will also be able to read and interpret schematics, have a working knowledge of safety and quality systems and procedures, and be an intermediate user of Windows-based systems and CMMS MEX.
