HSE & QA Manager Role
The role involves managing the company's IMS system, site safety system implementation, company audits, and external audits. Responsibilities include overseeing site IMS procedures through visits and audits, working alongside site supervisors, project managers, management, and contracts administrators.
1. Perform site safety inspections, hazard identifications, and risk assessments; implement corrective actions across all sites.
2. Support site compliance with legislation, policies, standards, and the safety management system, including reporting via Skytrust or other software to the Group.
3. Investigate injuries and incidents; provide corrective action recommendations.
4. Maintain and review safety documentation and systems, including developing SWMS.
5. Report on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.
6. Assist with employee inductions and training; educate the workforce on safety rights and obligations.
7. Assist with internal audits and support action plans.
8. Complete annual internal corporate audits.
9. Manage company ISO audits annually.
10. Maintain ISO requirements within WHS, QA, and ENV systems.
11. Ensure adherence to site safety and quality obligations from broader teams.
12. Prepare concise EOM reports on time, including uploading to the Group Safety Reporting System.
13. Maintain an up-to-date ISO accredited system and ensure compliance.
14. Transition from paper-based to fully electronic systems within 6 months, while maintaining obligations.
15. Assist in setting up Site Safety & QA Management Plans for projects.
16. Conduct regular training for current and new team members.
17. Manage the role autonomously, suggesting improvements for efficiency and outcomes.
18. Participate effectively in weekly team meetings.
19. Assist with Workcover claims management and return-to-work coordination as needed.
