The Opportunity:
Due to continued success in the resource sector Inteforge seek expressions of interest from highly capable, confident Fabrication Workshop Manager to be an integral part of the project team.
As Fabrication Workshop Manager you will lead the fabrication management in our China based workshops, coordination and delivery of fabrication, welding, projects to a range of blue-chip resources clients (mining and gas clients).
Essential for this for this role:
- A minimum of 10 years in a similar role leading a cross-functional or fabrication team.
- Strong networks and understanding of Fabrication workshops in China.
- Experience working with Engineering, Project Management, Quality and logistics teams for successful delivery of Fabrication work to Australian standards.
- Focussed work ethic, you\’ll lead team of local fabricators, you’ll possess an extensive knowledge across structural plate work, packaged equipment and fabrication of modular packages.
- Proven experience working in busy fabrication workshop environment, understanding of Asian fabrication workshops.
- Fabrication knowledge across, piping, packaged equipment, pressure vessels, structural plate work and fabrication of modular packages.
- Strong metal trades background
- Strong understanding in budgets/construction metrics, forecasting and change management (involving changes to scope, quantities and timeframes).
- Outstanding written and technical skills including understanding of quality SMP specifications such as piping, welding, fabrication, surface treatment and commissioning.
- The successful candidate will be rewarded with an attractive remuneration package including accommodation in a furnished apartment, with all transportation to and from work provided.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading Australian company overseas, fabricating projects to a range of blue-chip resources clients (mining and gas clients).
The role will see you working from modern workshops in the Tianjin area of China, operating on a FIFO 26 & 9 roster.
