The Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join our team. This role involves working on a variety of equipment and machinery, performing tasks such as machining, fitting, assembly, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities
* Machining and assembling components to precise tolerances using workshop machinery.
* Performing preventative and corrective maintenance activities on pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and crushers.
* Diagnosing faults and identifying solutions to mechanical issues to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing and repairs.
To be successful for this role you will possess
* A recognised Trade Certificate in Fitting and Machining (Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade).
* Proven experience in heavy industry or similar industrial environments.
* Strong machining skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* High attention to detail and focus on producing high-quality workmanship.
* Commitment to workplace safety and risk management practices.
* Current driver's licence.
