Domestic Services Manager – Permanent Full-Time
Provide domestic service to patients, staff and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire premises using effective and efficient methods that deliver a safe and welcoming environment and meet the required NHS Lanarkshire and Hospital Acquired Infections standards.
Work alongside and support new staff in the working environment.
Important Skills and Experience
* Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
* Required to undertake on the job training and induction (generally 4-6 weeks).
* Working knowledge Health & Safety including risk assessment of tasks.
* Required to undertake PaMOVA training level 1 and level 2.
* Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training.
* Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards.
* Undertake and complete NHSS Domestic Services Workbook.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a busy environment.
* Working knowledge of basic information technology.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
* Recognised SVQ or equivalent relevant qualification.
* Experience working within a domestic services/cleaning environment.
* Knowledge of systems and processes eg HAI; Manual Handling; Management of Aggression; Infection Control; COSHH; Fire Safety.
* Use of range of electrical cleaning equipment.
Contract Type
Permanent full‑time, part‑time 15.8 hours – pro‑rata salary.
Location
Hotel Services – Domestic Department within Douglas Street Clinic.
