The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Pre-PrimaryTeacher to join our school on a 0.7 FTE, commencing Term 3, 2025for terms 3 and 4. We seek to inspire in students global awarenessand compassion for their world, guided by the principles of love,justice and mercy. Our nurturing Christian environment, communityspirit and holistic educational philosophy support students inbecoming all that God has created them to be.
What You'll Do:
- Teach in Pre-Primary with a strong understanding of the WACurriculum and Assessment Outline.
- Develop, evaluate, and refine programs andassessments.
- Facilitate appropriate remediation and extension activitiesto meet individual students needs.
- Engage in at least one co-curricular activity, aligned withschool priorities.
- Show genuine care and concern for the spiritual, emotional,social, and academic development of students.
- Report to Deans and the Principal as required, bothinformally and formally.
- Communicate with students and parents both informally andformally through verbal and written means, includingParent-Teacher evenings, the school's reporting system,and other appropriate channels.
What We're Looking For:
- Proficiency in using a range of formative and summativeassessment strategies to monitor, inform, and support studentlearning.
- A strong understanding of Early Years pedagogy, with theability to implement developmentally appropriate, play-basedand inquiry-driven learning experiences that align withcurriculum outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with thecapacity to build positive relationships with students,colleagues, and families.
- To have a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ andbe an active member of a Christian Church.
- A deep understanding of the teacher's role as apositive role model, both in and beyond the classroom.
- A genuine commitment to building and maintainingrespectful, collaborative partnerships with students, staff,parents, and the broader school community.
