About the Role
This is a remote role that prefers Australian-based candidates, but applicants from New Zealand are also welcome. It is a 12‑month full‑time contract with the possibility of extension.
The role involves:
- Conducting assessments against WCAG 2.1 & WCAG 2.2 and accessibility best practices on web and native mobile platforms
- Describing issues and providing actionable recommendations to fix accessibility problems
- Helping organisations improve their accessibility maturity pragmatically
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (designers, developers, etc.) to review and provide feedback across the software development lifecycle
- Defining project‑specific accessibility requirements
- Championing digital accessibility
About You
We're looking for individuals with strong passion for digital accessibility and inclusive design, along with the following skills:
- Understanding of assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver or TalkBack
- Experience or knowledge of WCAG auditing on web and/or mobile
- Basic knowledge of WAI‑ARIA, HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript
- Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
- Excellent time‑management and self‑starter mindset
- Good written and verbal communication for technical and non‑technical audiences
- At least one year of experience in accessibility, user experience or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
