Overview

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2026. Yanchep Secondary College (SC) provides young people in the Yanchep area with a high quality, comprehensive education. The school opened in 2018 in a brand-new purpose-built campus and offers a broad, high-level curriculum with academic programs and vocational courses. The campus includes a commercial kitchen and cafe and an arts centre for visual and performing arts, designed to provide access to specialist teaching and best learning practices. Future plans include additional teaching blocks. Yanchep SC focuses on the whole student, with staff and community working together to develop young adults who engage meaningfully with their local community and are prepared for 21st century work. The school serves Yanchep, Two Rocks, Lancelin and surrounding communities. The Role

We currently have two (2) permanent positions available, both commencing in Term 2, 2026. As a Business Support Officer, you would assist the Manager Corporate Services in delivering high-quality administrative, financial, marketing, corporate sponsorship, and human resource support across the school's operations. You would contribute to the preparation and monitoring of the school budget and develop and maintain effective business and information management systems to ensure efficient service delivery.

The role also involves supporting financial planning, RM billing, and end-of-month processes as well as recruitment processes, relief coordination, HRMIS and payroll processing. Workplace learning and VET experience are desirable.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

* be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
* consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

* Demonstrated sound human resource management knowledge and skills, including the ability to provide effective support and input into HR management systems and processes.
* Demonstrated sound verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Demonstrated sound conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to identify appropriate solutions.
