Social Worker – NDIS | 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension) | Immediate or May 2026 Start
Pay Range: A$37 - $60 per hour (depending on experience) + Super + Travel
Hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm
Location: Broadmeadows Central (Office based + community/participant visits across Melbourne's Northern and Western suburbs)

About the Role
Roulaana is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension or ongoing employment, with an immediate start available (Keilor office – temporary) or commencement on Tuesday, 12 May 2026 at our Broadmeadows Central office.
You will step into a ready and active caseload, supporting NDIS participants across Melbourne's Western and Northern suburbs.
The Opportunity
* 12-month fixed-term contract (with potential for renewal/extension)

* Tuesday to Friday | 9:00am – 5:30pm
* Regular travel across Melbourne's Western and Northern suburbs
* Face-to-face, relationship-driven role across office and community settings

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and functional assessments to identify participant needs, risks, and support requirements
* Deliver therapeutic, person-centred interventions supporting emotional wellbeing, capacity building, and independence
* Provide clinical case management for participants with complex needs, including crisis response where required
* Advocate in line with the NDIS Code of Conduct, ensuring participant choice, control, and informed decision-making
* Collaborate with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, trauma-informed supportsli>
* Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation and reporting in line with NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission standards
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Social Work (essential)
* Current membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* Experience in psychosocial assessments, case management, and care planning
* Minimum 1 years' experience within NDIS, disability, or community services
* Strong understanding of the NDIS framework, Practice Standards, and participant-centred approaches
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
* High level of emotional intelligence, professionalism, and ethical practice
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
* Full Australian working rights
* Current driver's licence, reliable vehicle, and comprehensive car insurance with willingness to travel locally
* Fluent in any of the following languages: Syriac, Assyrian, Arabic, or Turkish
* Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities
* Strong commitment to person-centred, relationship-based, and trauma-informed care
* Ability to manage a caseload autonomously and prioritise effectively
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Willingness to travel for community-based participant visits
