Support Young People in a Residential Setting
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our Residential Youth Support Worker team in the Greater Hobart Area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with children and young people in a 24/7 Residential Setting, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day care, supervision, and transport to children and young people.
* Actively participate in activities designed to increase competencies of young people.
* Form and maintain professional, nurturing relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Develop, implement, and monitor individual plans tailored to each client's needs.
* Support the development and maintenance of social skills among young people.
* Maintain accurate progress notes and contribute to report writing.
Requirements:
* A Certificate 4 in Community Services, Youth Work, Mental Health, or a related field.
* A current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or a willingness to complete prior to commencement.
* A valid Australian Driver Licence.
* The ability to work various shifts, including sleepover and active nights throughout the week.
* Previous experience working with young people, people with disabilities, and/or vulnerable individuals.
