About the Role
Inspired by food and driven by customer success, you will be responsible for managing and developing existing key accounts across both retail and food service sectors.
As Account Manager, working as part of a small team you will be responsible for building and nurturing long-lasting customer relationships. Acting as the primary point of contact for orders and enquiries, you will develop a through understanding of client needs and deliver tailored solutions with a strong focus on quality and in products and service, as well as identifying growth opportunities and increasing our market presence.
This is a hands-on position with time spent both in the office and on the road, including some interstate travel.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow key accounts across both retail and food service sectors. You will be required to develop strong product knowledge and a thorough understanding of our customer base.
* Effectively partner with customers to build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships, working with stakeholders, sales reps, purchasing officers and end users.
* Acting as the primary point of contact for orders, respond proactively to enquires, resolve issues and deliver appropriate solutions.
* Actively monitor and review customer orders to anticipate changes and retain business, particularly within Food Service
* Collaborate closely with production to ensure alignment between customer requirements, production schedules and agreed lead times to ensure effective supply and service delivery.
* Gather and analyse market and competitor information to identify new opportunities, generate leads and visit prospective customers.
* Maintain and utilise the company’s CRM tool for sales activities.
* Assist with customer related documentation including, sales contracts, proposals and presentations to prospective and existing customers.
About You
* Minimum 3 years successful experience working within FMCG account management/sales, preferably with both retail and food service.
* Previous exposure or understanding of a manufacturing environment is advantageous!
* Excellent customer relationships skills with the ability to foster long lasting relationships, gain repeat business and grow accounts.
* Energetic, driven and passionate about customer service.
* Proven selling and negotiation skills and understanding of the sales process.
* Highly organised, proactive and solutions focused.
* Team player, approachable with a willingness to share knowledge and expertise.
* Highly organised, possess excellent time management skills with the ability to work against tight deadlines.
* Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including Work and Excel and ability to produce reports.
* Strong capability of using handheld technology when out on the road.
* Flexibility to spend time out on the road and interstate travel as required.
