Cassia Freo is a vibrant, modern Australian restaurant known for its energetic atmosphere, seasonal menu and high-quality guest experience. We're growing quickly and are looking for an experienced Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position where you will guide the kitchen team, collaborate with the owner on seasonal menu creation, and ensure high standards of quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, train and mentor the kitchen team
* Menu creation
* Manage stock, ordering and inventory
* Maintain smooth day-to-day kitchen operations
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar Head Chef or Senior Sous role
* Strong background in modern Australian cuisine
* Ability to design seasonal, creative and well-executed dishes
* Positive leadership style with excellent communication
* High attention to detail
* Available for evenings and weekends
Requirements
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
* Full Australian working rights
