Registered Nurse / Enrolled Nurse – Casual or Full Time
At Cairns GP Superclinic, we are seeking experienced nurses to work collaboratively with GPs and support staff, delivering triage, treatment room services, and integrated care for our patients.
The position requires availability and flexibility to work 4–5 shifts per week (approx. 30–38 hours), shifts between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM on weekends. Specific working days will be discussed during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities:
Triage patients and prioritise emergencies
Assist GPs with procedures (e.g. excisions)
Dress wounds and remove sutures
Perform tests like ECGs, spirometry, and audiograms
Administer immunisations
Health assessments & care plan reviews
Provide health coaching to help patients meet their goals
Manage patient reminder system
Support Enrolled Nurses (if you are a Registered Nurse)
Register patients for eHealth
Maintain and stock treatment rooms
Coordinate and manage patient care
What We’re Looking For:
Full working rights in Australia (Citizenship or permanent residency required. No visa sponsorship available - can be on a working visa)
Current APHRA General Registration
Current Indemnity Insurance
Strong communication & interpersonal skills
Great time management and multitasking ability
Conflict resolution & problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Computer skills (Best Practice experience is a plus)
Desirable Experience/Skills:
Previous experience in an Australian General Practice
Additional qualifications in immunisations, care plans, or health assessments
Remuneration: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
