Overview
Lower South West Fire and Emergency Support Unit – Busselton WA
The Lower South West ICV team provides communications and technical support during incidents such as bushfires, storms, land search, large structural fires, and floods. Normally located at an Operations Point where emergency services gather before going to combat an incident, the team deploys the Incident Control Vehicle to assist with the management of incident communications, registration of resources, computer data analysis and incident coordination.
Responsibilities
* Assist with ICV operations during incidents.
* Work with technological equipment such as radios and computers.
* Collaborate with emergency service personnel in a fast-paced environment.
* Contribute to the safety of the local community through effective incident coordination.

Commitment
* Regular - more than 6 months

Time Required
* Approximately 2 hours per month following initial training
* Occasional weekend and evening training & exercises throughout the year
* Trained members are expected to attend a minimum of 6 training sessions per year to maintain skills currency
Training
* All training and personal protective clothing & equipment is provided
* New members are required to complete basic training prior to attending incidents
